Our Physicians

The doctors in Concentra's Physician Review program are Board-certified, licensed, and in active practice and have special certificates required by the state in which they practice.

The Concentra Physician Review program includes over 100 affiliated doctors practicing in primary-care medicine as well as 29 medical and 7 other specialties. Many of our affiliated review doctors are primary-care physicians in Concentra's national network of medical centers. Others are drawn from outside the Concentra organization, especially for specialty disciplines outside the practice of primary-care, occupational medicine.

Doctors become part of our program in one of three ways: we approach them, they approach us, or others refer them to us. Physicians have to meet basic criteria to be eligible; they must:

• be Board certified by the AOA (American Osteopathic Association) and the ABMS (American Board of Medical Specialties),
• be licensed and in active practice,
• have any special certificates required by the state in which they practice.

Concentra performs additional credentialing by carefully reviewing their curriculum vitae, checking the National Practitioners Data Bank (NPDB) and Healthcare Integrity and Protection Data Bank (HIPDB) for information on candidates, and having their applications reviewed by our National Medical Director.
